Well, several years ago when I began this blog, we all had great expectations for augmented reality porn. But truth be told, it has been a lot slower to take off than its VR cousin. I had a good look at their free AR content yesterday on my phone and I was pretty much blown away. The girls have been captured far better than any other AR porn I’ve tried. In conclusion it would appear that Badoink have mastered the basics of volumetric scanning and placing their models in your environment in 360 AR – better than any other porn site thus far. Now that this has been achieved, I expect AR porn to progress very quickly, especially if AR headsets or even glasses become more mainstream (Apple are rumoured to be brining out their eagerly awaited AR smart glasses as early as next year).
I don’t think it’s unrealistic to expect that within the next five years or so, AR porn tech will have moved on to the point where you could be experiencing live chat with pornstars or webcam girls, in your home, in 360 3D AR.
